Newton – Weekend Nanny/Family Assistant (20 hours) – ASAP Start

A busy Newton family is searching for a part time, long term weekend nanny to begin ASAP! You’ll work with a thoughtful, creative 7 year old girl who loves to do crafts, bake, and play when she isn’t out with mom and dad.

The ideal schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday from 7am-5pm for a guarantee of 20 hours/weekend. They are open to different scheduling configurations, but mornings are essential. Though this is a mixed role, it will be roughly 70% childcare and 30% household support. Child-related duties include creating and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities, helping to keep her daily routine in motion, administering medications, getting ready for each day, and preparing simple meals and snacks. Household duties include support with household laundry, dishes, emptying the trash/recycling, organizational tasks, and general tidying of spaces used throughout the day.

Those who are emotionally intelligent, in tune with cues, and successful at working with sensitive children are highly encouraged to apply. This role is primarily home based as the child has extremely busy weeks and enjoys being a homebody on weekends. Past experience working with children who have anxiety and/or sensory processing sensitivity would be helpful, though this is not required. The family spends a couple of weekends on Cape Cod and would love if their nanny would join them. There is a private bedroom with en suite bathroom available for the nanny to stay in during weekends away. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
