Newton – Full Time Nanny (45 hours/week) – October/November Start

A busy family in Newton is searching for a dependable full time nanny to begin in October or November! They have two children, ages 3.5yo and 5 months. The older child attends a full day program, so care is only for the baby!

The schedule for this position is M 8am-5pm, Tu/Th 7:30am-5pm, W 9am-5pm, F 8am-4pm for a guarantee of 45 hours/week. There is a chance that the schedule will reduce to 40 hours in the future, dependent on the family’s needs. Duties include all aspects of care for the baby, planning developmentally appropriate activities, fostering curiosity, reading, finding teachable moments throughout the day, bottle preparation and sterilization, children’s meal preparation, children’s laundry, loading/unloading the dishwasher, keeping play areas clean, and general tidying throughout the day. The family would appreciate simple family meal support if time allows, but this is not a requirement.

Best matches are punctual, honest, outgoing, and affectionate. Prior experience working with infants is a must! A semi-collaborative approach in the afternoons would work best. Fast learners with energy to spare will mesh well in this household! Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
