Chestnut Hill/Waban – Full Time Nanny (50 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A family with two households, located in Chestnut Hill and Waban, is seeking a full time nanny to join them beginning ASAP! Primary care is based at their Chestnut Hill home. Secondary support and transportation is needed to their Waban residence. You’ll care for two wonderful children, ages 4.5 and 1.5.

The base schedule for this position is M-F 7:45/8am-5:45/6pm for a guarantee of 50 hours/week. Responsibilities include all aspects of childcare, going on outings, planning developmentally appropriate activities, fostering curiosity, spending lots of time reading with the children, preschool pickups, transportation between both residences in the family car, basic meal preparation for mom and children (making rice, chopping veggies, putting together a crockpot recipe, etc.), children’s laundry, and managing household inventory. Finding teachable moments throughout the day is important!

Those with prior experience working with a two household family would be great matches for this family. Having a safe driving record is important. A high level of emotional intelligence is valued here, alongside the use of a gentle parenting philosophy and a collaborative approach in being an advocate for the children. They are excited to find their long term match! Intermittent travel is required, up to 4-6 weeks per year, with advance notice given. Spending long weekends on Cape Cod with the family would be ideal, as well as spending time in the Hamptons and other destinations.
