Jamaica Plain – Part Time Nanny/Household Manager (30 hours/week) – May Start

A dual physician family located in Jamaica Plain is searching for a seasoned nanny/household manager to begin in May! This position focuses on supporting the family as a whole, as well as caring for the family’s sweet, curious 1 year old daughter who loves seeing other kids and spending time with her equally sweet dog sister.

This position offers 30 guaranteed hours/week that will be scheduled between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Friday. The schedule is provided 4-6 weeks in advance. Some Wednesdays will have a 9:30pm end time. Responsibilities include all aspects of toddler, planning developmentally appropriate activities that are based around milestones, going on strolls, adventures, and outings, and making sure to spend time outdoors as often as the New England weather allows. During non-childcare hours, support for the family as a unit includes simple family meal preparation, keeping the common areas and nursery clean, organized, and well stocked, family laundry, bulk monthly grocery shopping, errands, trash/recycling, and consistently tidying as you move throughout the day. Walking the dog and doing any dishes in the sink upon arrival is greatly appreciated, as one parent often works very late into the evenings/early morning.

This fantastic family is excited to form a great bond with the person they hire and hope to have a long term commitment that could include a new baby in the future! Those with prior toddler experience who are well versed in child development would be great matches for this role. Candidates should be equally happy with both childcare duties and household tasks, and provide the flexibility needed to collaborate with parents and change gears when needed. Those who are passport ready and speak Spanish will be given top priority, though neither of these are requirements. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
