Boston (Fenway) – Part Time Housekeeper/Chef (15-20 hours/week) – Flexible Start

A friendly PhD student located in the gorgeous Fenway neighborhood of Boston is searching for a part time housekeeper/chef to begin as soon as the right match is found! Sooner is better in terms of start date, but the client is flexible. There are 2 adults living in a 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom apartment with a studio, large living room, and kitchen.

The ideal schedule for this position is M-F 8am/9am-11am/12pm for a guarantee of 15-20 hours/week (candidate’s choice). The client has some flexibility to consider 3-4 longer days for the right match. Kitchen-related duties include preparing simple meals (bonus for familiarity with Italian recipes as the client is Italian) for the client, taking care of associated tasks such as breakfast cleanup, grocery shopping, and meal planning. Housekeeping duties include deep cleaning of the apartment, client laundry, ironing (preferred, but not required), vacuuming/sweeping, changing bed linens, and overseeing household repairs. Cooking duties and laundry are only for the client, not for the other adult in the home. Taking the client’s sweet, small dog – a Pomeranian – on walks during the day is desired.

Candidates with a high attention to detail, the ability to provide white glove service in regards to cleaning, and who take pride in managing these aspects of life would be perfect matches for this position! Confidence in the kitchen, especially with making simple, refreshing meals, as well as a meticulousness with cleaning are the most important pieces of this role. Friendly, bubbly, and warm personalities will thrive as the client aims to have a comfortable, happy environment each and every day. Typically, both adults will be out of the home during the day, but may be home on occasion.
