Cambridge – Full Time Nanny/Private Educator (40 hours/week) – April Start (flexible)

A family located in Cambridge’s Porter Square is searching for a full time nanny/private educator to begin in April, with start date flexibility through May. They are focused on finding the right match. This role is focused around the family’s 3 year old.

The schedule for this position is M-F 9am-5pm for a guarantee of 40 hours/week. The first portion of the day will be devoted to curriculum/activity planning, researching local extracurriculars/outings for young children, children’s laundry, and post-preschool snack and meal preparation. Occasional light care for the baby may be requested, but a parent will be the primary caregiver for the foreseeable future. Afternoons include school pickups, as well as outings and home based activities that support all areas of development. The family would love home instruction to build off the child’s interests and abilities, including outings in the local community during school vacations/summers.

All candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a similar field, in addition to prior experience with preschoolers. Creative thinkers who find great joy in providing learning opportunities will thrive in this position. Ideal candidates will be able to travel internationally (primarily to Europe and Australia) 2-6 weeks per year, but this is not a firm requirement. Private/separate accommodations will be given during travel.
