Needham – Part Time Nanny/Household Manager (30 hours/week) – July 21st Start

A welcoming Needham family is searching for a part time nanny/household manager to begin on July 21st! They have two children, ages 13 and 11, and the eldest spends time at afterschool activities on most days.

The schedule for this position is M-Th 12pm-6pm and F 11am-5pm for a guarantee of 30 hours/week. A 10am start on no school days is preferred. Duties include picking up the younger child up from school, engaging with him, transporting him to and from activities in the afternoons, spending time with both children during summer weeks, successfully managing the family’s schedules and afternoon routines, supporting the children with homework, and ensuring they’re on task. Household tasks include making sure there are fresh snacks available, household laundry/changing linens weekly, grocery shopping, keeping items well stocked, errands, household organizational tasks, and general tidying. Simple family meal preparation (i.e. boiling rice, chopping vegetables, etc.) is strongly preferred, but children’s meal preparation will suffice.

Nannies who are warm and caring while still maintaining professional boundaries would be great fits for this household, especially those who are successful at being patient but firm. The family appreciates a proactive approach to each day versus a reactive one. Being organized and excited to work with busy, motivated school-aged children are keys to success in this role. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
