Additional Information:
A single mom in Lexington is seeking a long-term family assistant/nanny to support her in caring for two sets of 2 year old twins! A live in or modified live in (staying over just during the work week) arrangement is strongly preferred. Accommodations include an in-law suite with a kitchenette that includes a stove, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, and has a separate entrance and boasts large, beautiful windows. All 4 children attend a program from 8:30am-3:30pm each day.
The base schedule for this position is split format of 4-5 hours in the morning (~6am-10am) and 3-5 hours in the late afternoon/evening, offering 40 guaranteed hours/week. Approximately 2 days/week, later shift hours can be more flexible when the children are with their other parent. Optional extra hours are available on weekends and/or minor holidays if candidate is interested, but these are not required.
Key responsibilities include co-parenting with mom to meet the demands of running a household with 4 toddlers. This includes support during the pre and post daycare routines, including getting the children dressed for the day, assistance with mealtimes, transportation to/from daycare, as well as support during bath and bedtime routines. Household support duties include laundry support, errands, vegetarian meal preparation, kitchen clean up and organization (loading/unloading dishwasher, wiping down counters/high chairs, disposing of refrigerator items as needed, etc.) and all child-related tidying (putting toys away, straighten up sleeping/play areas, packing/unpacking diaper bags).
There is a family car available for work use and a safe driving record is required. Having a flexible nature, collaborative spirit, and true love of toddlerhood are important in this position. Those who are quick to laugh and see how important their role is in providing stability and support in this single parent household will thrive!
