Newton – Part Time Nanny (30 hours/week) – ASAP Start

A lovely Newton family is searching for a fun, affectionate nanny to begin as soon as the right match is found! They have two children, ages 8 and 4, who attend school during the day.

The schedule for this position is Tu 7/8am-6pm, Th 7am-6pm, and F 7am-3/4pm for a guarantee of 30 hours/week. Both parents leave by 7:15am each day and the three days of the schedule are firm. Duties of the role include getting the children up and ready for school, providing breakfast, packing snacks/lunches, packing backpacks, and getting the kids out the door to the bus. Afternoons include school pick up and continuing on with the after school routine. Household duties include simple family meal preparation (two or three batch meals are strongly preferred, but not required), children’s dinner, clean up after mealtime when time allows, household laundry, organizational projects, keeping the children’s bedrooms and play spaces organized and clean, household errands, and general tidying throughout the day.

Nannies who enjoy the outdoors, encourage independence, and are comfortable settling the occasional sibling squabble are highly encouraged to apply! The family values great communication and prioritize caring for the children over other household tasks when they’re at home. They’re hopeful to meet someone who is flexible, but able to be firm and maintain consistent boundaries when needed. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
