Newton Centre – Full Time Nanny (32 hours/week, 4 day schedule) – ASAP Start

A sweet family in Newton is searching for a creative, joyful nanny to begin as soon as the right match is found. You’ll work with two children, ages 3 and 15 months, though care will primarily be with the youngest as the oldest attends school during the day.

The schedule for this position is M-Th 8:30am-4:30pm for a guarantee of 32 hours/week. The availability to cover an occasional overnight is preferred. Duties of this role include planning activities, engaging in creative play, spending time outdoors daily, school pick up in the afternoon, bottle preparation and sterilization, children’s snack and meal preparation, children’s laundry and linens, keeping track of household items, accepting grocery deliveries, unloading/loading the dishwasher, and making sure children’s bedrooms and play spaces are tidy and well organized. Simple family meal support would be appreciated, but is not required.

Nannies who are safety and health conscious with the ability to gently redirect and allow for ample transition time would be great matches for this family. As mom stays at home, this role is collaborative and will rely on a divide and conquer approach to make sure all needs are met. The youngest child is non-verbal and is not yet walking, so the ability to carry him frequently is required. Both children attend EI and OT, so willingness to attend appointments and implement therapies is a must. Travel opportunities are optional. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
