Boston (Jamaica Plain) – Part Time Nanny/Household Manager (30 hours/week) – October 1st Start (flexible)

A dual physician family located in Jamaica Plain is searching for a seasoned nanny/household manager to begin in early October! They have slight flexibility to begin up to two weeks earlier or a week later, but must have someone in place by October 7th. Their 7 month old daughter is a light to be around and is curious and sweet with an infectious smile!

This position offers 30 guaranteed hours/week that will be scheduled between 7am and 7pm, Monday through Friday. The schedule is provided 4-6 weeks in advance. Some Wednesdays will have a 9pm end time. Responsibilities include all aspects of infant care, planning developmentally appropriate activities that are based around infant milestones, going on strolls, adventures, and outings, and making sure to spend time outdoors as often as the New England weather allows. Additional duties include bottle preparation and sterilization, assistance with transitioning to solids, baby meal preparation, keeping the nursery clean and well stocked, and general tidying throughout the day. Approximately 20 hours per week will be dedicated to baby care, so during non-baby care hours, the family would greatly appreciate assistance with household laundry, grocery shopping/errands, organizational tasks, and/or simple family meal preparation.

This fantastic family is excited to form a great bond with the person they hire and hope to have a long term commitment that would include a new baby in the future! Those with prior infant/toddler experience who are well versed in child development would be great matches for this role. Both parents value strong communication and maintaining a healthy daily schedule for the baby. Those who are passport ready and speak Spanish will be given top priority, though neither of these are requirements. Candidates must be fully vaccinated.
